Eden Hazard accepts he will not leave Chelsea this summer despite missing Community Shield

EDEN HAZARD has reportedly accepted that he will not leave Chelsea this summer.

The Belgian star returned to training with the Blues on Monday after his dream move to Real Madrid failed to materialise.

Hazard fuelled speculation that he could leave when he was absent for Sunday’s Community Shield defeat to Manchester City.

But it has been revealed that he called Maurizio Sarri to ask for permission to miss the match.

According to The Times, the 27-year-old has now accepted that he will not be able leave this summer.

After the phone call, the Blues boss said: “We didn’t talk about his future. We talked about, ‘Can I arrive back Monday instead of Sunday’.

“In this moment there is no problem for Hazard.”

Hazard returned to Cobham earlier this week after a well-deserved break following his heroics at the World Cup.

The £150million-rated star openly flirted with the idea of joining the Spanish giants this summer.

But the Blues were keen to keep hold of their talisman and Sarri is ready to make him the club captain to keep him happy.

Wantaway Chelsea ace Thibaut Courtois has also been continuously linked to Real Madrid this summer.

And the goalkeeper is set to miss training again as he waits for the club to decide whether he can join Madrid.
